The Monkeys came to me on July 2, 2016. I pulled them from the pound, and they were all in rough shape – they were undernourished, dehydrated, and had giardia, coccidia, and worms. I embarked on a project to get them healthy again – encouraging them to eat and drink and treating them for the parasites. The smallest two, Bounce and Bandit, were so sick that they didn’t want to eat, so I syringe-fed them around the clock for the first few days. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, Bandit crashed after five days and although I brought her to the emergency vet, there was nothing they could do and ended up euthanizing her. After Bandit died, I named Bounce in the hopes that he would bounce back. It was touch and go with Bounce for a week or so after that, and at one point I really thought I was going to lose him, but he pulled through and is now a healthy little boy. All four of them are SO soft and sweet – total lap-sitters and big purrers. You can read about them starting here.
Update: All of the Monkeys have been adopted! None of them were adopted together, but Mischief was adopted with Splash and Summer.
